In Florida you can make appointments ,this is ridiculous that something that would take one of their employees 5 minutes to complete(as you have to come with the form prefilled or they wont see you) and i cant make an appointment for it.
I went here(930 am) and was informed to get a replacement SS card I could wait in line and they would only see people until the closing time anyone left over would have to come back tomorrow or I could call and make an appointment. Considering i sat there for 2 hours ,and the line i was in was 16 people long, and they called 1 person before i gave up i didnt have much hope of being seen that day. So i called said number was told i would be on hold for 45 to 55 minutes. Waited. Finally someone answers. "We dont do appointments for social security card replacement it is walk in first come first serve only"

Called the local phone number listed. ..left my call back number. ..was automated informed that at the end of the call there is a survey I could participate in if I wanted to. ..instead of speaking to someone. .the call went straight to the survey. .this was not what I called for...made another attempt. ..waiting for the SS office to call back
I understand and expected the wait to be seen by a social security officer BUT did not care for the lack of knowledge and training of the employees. It made the experience that much worse. We must do better Louisiana ! It's crazy that these are government officials with such ignorance within their job, yuck !
